Black is Beautiful Mural Acrylic Painting.  ARTchitecture Series.  A painting of a long building with a large mural featuring five beautiful black women.  Their ages vary from teen to elder, and they wear turquoise clothes with gold jewelry.  The caramel colored background warms their faces and is embellished with flowers and a traditional woven African basket.  The building was chosen because the wall faces what was historically a black main street from the days of segregation, although most of those buildings are gone.  The buildings also house several black owned businesses run by black women.  This mural gives a much deserved nod to the beauty, power, and integrity of black women in America.
This mural was designed with the permission and input of black women who are friends of the artist.  Hand painted in acrylics on a 24x48x1" gallery wrapped canvas, varnished.  Professional wire hanger.  Signed by the artist.
